Aux 8 breaker switch

Hi,

I've got my fuel pump connected to AUX 8 and i've made a kill switch by breaking the AUX 8 wire and wiring in a button, it seemed to me like a reasonable solution, however, after some time, my fuel pump would not prime even when the switch is set to ON. I replaced the switch and everything started working again, but after a week, the same thing is happening: if i leave the switch in the ON position, the fuel pump wont prime and i have to turn it off and the on again to make it work. What gives ? The switch is rated at 15 amperes.

Connected everything up without a switch and the fuel pump still would only prime 9 times out of 10, plugged my fuel pump wire to AUX1 connector and it's the same problem. It seems that my fuel pump relay failure decided to coincide with my breaker switch installation.
