Keep existing output values when entering Test Output mode

Postby lokmanho on Fri Jul 20, 2012 2:12 am

Hi,

I often use the Test PDM Outputs option on our vehicle to test individual output devices. However, entering this mode automatically initialises all outputs to the off value. I would find it even more useful if we can enter a test mode from a running configuration and initialise the output values to the current values. Then I can just go into this mode and change some outputs.

For example, in our case we control the outputs via CAN. The computer that sends the CAN messages, as well as some other critical devices, are also powered via the PDM. When I go into Test Output mode, the computer and these critical devices are always first turned off, and it could take a while before it boots up again and we have connection with our host PC again. It would be great if the initialisation to current values could be done! Can somebody let me know how to do that, if it is possible?

Thanks,
Lok Man
