The M48 ECUs and M4 ECUs with serial numbers less than 3000 are not capable of serial comms directly which is why, in the case of the M48, you cannot find it mentioned on the ECU drawing.
What you will need is a CIM or Computer Interface Module, see attached, this allows you to communicate with the ECU using a normal serial cable and provides an RX line that you can connect to any dash you wish to use.

Alternatively you can use your pci cable and leave this connected to your ecu and then interface from there.Follow the link provided and it will provide documentation for connection http://www.aim-sportline.com/pages/down ... n_ecus.htm
Each time you wish to d/load ecu you will have to break connection to logger and plug cable to laptop.

Has anyone else noticed that you do not get lambda from the Motec M4 or M48 enabled for lambda to the AIM dash. I would asume this an AIM problem because you get data both before and after the position in the data stream where lambda is sent. I have used both data set 3 and data set 5 on several cars and 1 motorcycle updated to Motec with an existing AIM dash. Has anyone made this work corretly?

I have the same issue with the AIM dash not getting the lambda reading. Tried the same thing with data sets. If I sort it out I'll let you know.
