Motec Karting Products

Hello all,

Do Motec have any devices tailored specifically towards sprint karting? I ask in terms of dash, data loggers, gps etc.

I realize that many of the products could be hacked to work on a kart but I am looking for ideas towards tailored packages.

If not, are there any plans to enter this market?

We dont currently have any karting products.

Often our equipmwent is too expensive to suit Go Karts, so we havent chased this market.

We should have some products coming out later this year, and they would probably suit the higher end go kart applicaions.

Keep an eye out here later in the year and see what you think..

I imagined that cost would be the major issue.

I will keep an eye out for the products you mentioned.

I am particularly interested in having an affordable and easier to understand starting point for not only racers but for aspiring engineers who may then move on to higher levels of motorsport.

Yep, I do see that karting would be a good market for us to get into with an appropriately prices and specc'd product. hopfully the new products will be suitable.

It'd be cool to have an all in one system with a 1 or 2 cylinder version of the M800 and the function of something like the Traqmate GPS DAQ system. Having everything in one system would be awesome.
