Start File / Base Map For 2009/11 Yamaha R1

Hi Guys,

Its been a little while since my last post but i'm nearly there now with this build.

The bike is fully built and i left the hardest part (for me anyway) till last... the wiring loom. I've built / modified my loom and happy with everything, but stuck on one last bit.

Can someone help me with the wiring for the DBW. I've used the base map attached earlier in this thread so the inputs / outputs are the same, but how should this be wired to the 2 throttle position pots? What are the pins TP pots?

Any help here will be much appreciated is i'm a newby scratching my head.

I've suddenly had a moment of clarity, if someone could confirm...

AV4 & AV5 = TP Driver
AV1 & AV3 = TP

AUX1 = Drive Motor

But how do i figure out what pins these go to on the throttle bodies?

Also there are 4 pins on the plugs of the TP connectors, i presume the other 2 pins are live / ground?

Same with the drive motor, is the remaining pin ground?

Period: 1
Dead Band: 0.3
Feed Forward: 10
Negative Integral Clamp: -15
Frequency: 8000
Motor Volts: 14
Feedback Source: 0

DC MOTOR FUNCTION PIN NUMBER
1 - AUX2
2 - AUX1

Input M400/M600/M800 pin M880 pin:
AUX 1 – A18 9
AUX 2 – A1 8

THROTTLE BUTTERFLY POSITION (TP) FUNCTION PIN NUMBER
1 – 0V
2 – TP
3 – 5V
4 – TP2

TP and TP2 can be assigned to any of the following AV inputs.

Input M400/M600/M800 pin M880 pin:
AV1 – A14 26
AV2 – A15 18
AV3 – A16 6
AV4 – A17 7
AV5 – A25 12
AV6 – B20 36
AV7 – B21 35
AV8 – B22 44
The calibration number for TP and TP2 is 11.

PEDAL POSITION / TWISTGRIP (TPD) FUNCTION PIN NUMBER
1 – 0V
2 – TPD
3 – 5V
4 – TPD2

TPD and TPD2 can be assigned to any of the following AV inputs.

Ensure TPD defaults are different TPD = 0, TPD2 = 100.
Separate 0V and 5V supplies should be used from the ECU

DO NOT SPLICE AT THE SENSOR CONNECTOR!

Ok, one last question then i'm think im there although ive been answer most of my questions myself so could be wrong...

According to my last post which i found on the net, i connect AUX2 to pin 1 and AUX1 to pin 2 on the servo drive motor on my throttles. However when i look at the base map further back in this thread only AUX1 is assigned to the DBW and AUX2 is off? Shouldnt it connected to ground rather than AUX2 on the motor or is my base map incorrect?

Can anyone offer any advice?

Use Aux 1 and 2 not ground.
Don't worry about the aux 2 not being assigned, this is how it works.

I think i'm there now, will finish off the loom this week, plug it in and go from there. Fingers crossed, but sure i will posting again soon at some point with questions.
