Postby mikemph on Wed Oct 26, 2011 8:13 am

Hi

Can some help with what mode to use on a GM C20XE sequential

60-2 trigger mag sensor
1 tooth sync hall sensor in dissy
CRIP 114

Think it should be 73? is this correct or have I miss understood?

70 something anyway, it depends on the edges that need to be used, especially for the crank trigger. You really need an osciloscope to get it right with an M4/M48.

I had an o-scope when I was debugging my setup -- unfortunately
while it was good enough to look at the waveform -- it was horrible
for determining alignment. So I experimented.

I'm not 100% sure but I think the difference between the
71,72,73,74 or any of the #[1234] nomenclature is the
expectation of the relationship between the ref and sync.

for example the combination maybe (I have not verified)
#1 rise, rise
#2 rise, fall
#3 fall, rise
#4 fall, fall

So -- I was able to fiddle with the settings and observe the sync % to sort of figure things out.

Not the best way -- but if you are equipment challenged it just might work for you.
