Logging Enable off delay

Postby leguas on Fri Sep 19, 2008 12:52 pm

I was trying to use the log enable on/off switch, but realized that there is a delay when the switch is turned off --- the data gets recorded for something like 6 consecutive seconds on my M800 ECU. Is this normal? Is there a way to eliminate this delay? Is it constantly 6 seconds?

The reason for using it is that we have the engine in a dyno, and we're setting the dyno controler to vary ign advance and inj timing so that we can post proccess it afterwards. The log enable function would just eliminate the transients. We're currently filtering through the high pass math function, which works fine, but it'd be good to understand what's up with the log enable off delay.
