knock module

Postby r.hellenbrand on Fri Sep 05, 2008 11:27 pm

Hi,

Did see, in the latest catalogue, there is a knock detection module available.
Where can I find information about this module?

Is there software available to make full knock control?

In the latest M800 software, it is only possible to log knock signals, none algorithm is possible.

Thanks,
Ron

Yes, it is possible to do individual cylinder knock control with the SKM.
What ECU are you using?

Is the software a beta release, latest software knock control isn't possible!

Thanks,

Standalone Knock Module for M800.
TCK is a for M800 based plug-in boards.

I dont think the knock modules will not be available to the general public like ECU's or other MoTeC products.
You need to go through a dealer that has been trained on them and get them to set it up for you.

I see this in the new software. Just to clarify:

1. Is the knock module required to do knock control?
2. Any updates on availability?
3. What kind of sensors will be supported.

Thanks,

Neel

The SKM can deal with both narrow and wide band knock sensors.
You will need a spare ignition output channel configured as "knock window".
