M84 on SR20DET VVT

Postby Karel on Tue Apr 26, 2011 12:15 am

Hi,
i am just instaling M84 on my Nissan Silvia S15 equped with Variable Valve Timing. We know that the M84 does not support Variable Valve Timing. But if my informations are not bad, the VVT on S15 is just ON/OFF function of one valve. Is it right ? So my idea is to use Auxiliary output as an signal for the valve, and open it for some specific window of RPM, is it wrong idea?
Also want to ask about some "startfile" for my aplication. This is not about maps, it is just about setup of all the sensors, triggers, compensations etc... Good startup file will save me so much time.

Thank you

PS: For example included startfile on Subaru N14 ecu has worked perfect for me!

You are correct. Cam is switched, not continuously variable.

i assume this will work for you with m84,all i have done in the past with other motec ecu is switch on with rpm , eg rpm on 5000 rpm off 9000 it seems to have worked fine in the past
