Logging boost control solenoid activity?

Postby Chris Wilson on Sun Apr 17, 2011 6:58 am

I think I need a smaller restrictor in the pressure line to my Delco boost control solenoid as I am told by my mapper that I am running out of duty cycle. I want to log the duty cycle for review after track activity. I am sure it's easy when you know which parameters equal duty cycle, but being new to this I can't figure out what, under "Boost Control" I need to log, and at what rate. Can someone help me out here please? ECU is M800. Wastegates are integral on a twin turbo RB26 Nissan engine. Thanks.

Log the Duty Cycle of the Auxiliary output that the Boost valve is conntcted to. Should log at 20Hz or slightly higher.

I always recommend people do some work on the dyno to work out what duty cycle equals roughtly what boost, especially if you want to eventually do closed loop boost control.

Thank you very much Mark, I was looking under the list of options for Boost Control logging, didn't think to look under auxiliary outputs :( I have it sussed now, thanks again.
