Engine Run Time

Is it possible to automatically total engine run time in i2 for each log?
Is it possible to have the ECU give me a hobbs meter type total running time?

As I understand it this is a feature that was never ported over from the original Interpreter into I2. However, if you load a log file into Interpreter you can still use this functionality.

The feature was great -- it showed not only the total time spent, but also the number of revolutions of the engine! If you set the logs up to record time above a certain RPM, or time when the engine was on power (throttle greater than 50%), it could be very useful in determining how "hard" the life on the engine was. You got a histogram of the RPMs with the selected criteria.

This is in the 'engine log' parameters, I2 is not needed. Utilities/engine log.

Yes, you can see it when connected to the ECU (or ADL). The ability to look at it in Interpreter or I2 means that you can do it when you aren't near the car. Or want to look at old data to see how fresh the engine was then.

The engine log is in the logged data file, it would be nice to be able to look at it.

Ah, I see, I think I used Interpreter all of 3 times ;). Didn't know it was included in the older stuff, could see why having to DL and save an engine log separately would be considered a bit of a hassle compared to the old way.

Is it possible to display the actual TIME and not just the percent in the RPM histogram?

That's great, but which program is that?
Yes, total running time is what I'm after, but also running time per RPM site on the RPM histogram.
I know its there graphically, but is it possible to get it displayed without having to export to Excel?

OK, I installed old interpreter, but when I open a logfile and press the Engine log tabs, nothing gets displayed. Am I missing something, or is it not able to display newer file versions?
