TPS recommendations

Postby otto69 on Sun Jan 16, 2011 9:17 pm

Hi
I'm in the process of building an 8 barrel injection for a 302 Windsor and have a clean sheet for the sensors.
What would you recommend for the TPS and why ?? (will be using an M800)
There seems to be heaps available, so not sure whats the best. (mounting is not an issue)
cheers

Someone must have an opinion ??
Can I assume that the ones listed on the Motec web site are the pick of the bunch ??
What about the D drive # 56001 / 56002 ?? Are these the Bosch type ones ??
cheers

I am no expert - but here are my thoughts...

All cars with cable actuated TB have a TPS. They all seem to work, and potentiometers are not all that complicated, so I would imagine that it is best to put one on that is easiest to fit.
It is not like a magic TPS is going to double the HP or kW.
Maybe the MoTeC ones are easiest to get replacements for or have some warranty...
Seems like a logical choice to go with that option and they should have support for any calibration files, But probably not needed as the "cal"will be in the mapping.

Thanks Holmz
Not looking for any "magic" here, but as this is my first ever crack at EFI, I have nothing to fall back on.
The main reason for the question, it seems that everything I pick is either rare with limited replacements, craps out in a few months or doesn't work at all...........
So any help with past experience is appreciated.
cheers
