Hello fellow formula enthusiast!
We are also using a CBR600RR 2008 engine for our student formula race-car. We haven't been able to start the engine yet because we are waiting for an ignition module to drive the ignition coils.
What sync/ref mode did you set and what is your CRIP angle?
I've gotten the following answer from one of the Motec representatives:
Providing you cut off the two adjacent cam teeth then your new CRIP should be 71 degrees with mode 2.
You can run with all three cam teeth but you need to use mode 22 with a CRIP of 431 degrees.
We cut of the two opposite teeth and our CRIP angle is around 440°. You should check yours with a strobe. We had done this prior to knowing that we could use mode 22.
Which ECU do you use and which ignition module do you have?
By the way, which team are you from?
You'll find our ref/sync capture and M84 settings attached.
