Using UTC in other software

Can the UTC usb-can adaptor be used in other software? I have a customer who wants to connect a gearbox control device on the same can bus as a Motec ecu. Obviously he will then configure the ecu using his UTC adaptor connecetd to a pc. I have to write some software to configure the gearbox controller, and it would be nice if this could be done over CAN, using the UTC adaptor. I guess the Motec pc application would need to be closed in order for my pc application to gain access to the UTC. Is there an interface document detailing how this could be achieved?

Sorry, no the UTC is for use with Motec devices only, so we do not give out documentation on interfacing with it.
