M800 Injector timer output

Postby 20B on Thu Aug 19, 2010 8:51 am

Ok here is a tricky one for the experts !
Is it possible to have Inj output 7 switch on then off lets say every 8 seconds continually but only when the rpm is above 500 rpm and the engine temperature is above a certain point ?
Could this be done on the ECU or is this SDL / ADL territory ?

I dont think the spraybar funtion will listen to engine temp...maybe run it in your SDL, think it will be easier there with 2 timers.

You can do it if you feed the spray bar function output into a input on the ECU. Then use that input channel on a axis of a user defined table with temp as the other axis on another AUX output which controls the injector.

Ohh now I understand how you would do it :) Or just use the Sparybar output`s DC as one axis on the Aux table instead of wiring

Care to show how it would be done ?

When you go into the table axis setup, hit the 'select' bar, when it pops up check the 'show non-sensor channels' box and all kinds of wonderful possibilities for experimentation occur. All the aux inj ign DC's can be an axis among many other things.

'show non-sensor channels'

Wow I never really ever noticed that sneaky little checkbox ! Lots of goodies in there to play with.
I'm still a bit unsure of how to set it up, can anyone do a quick screengrab of the table settings you would use to make INJ output turn on then off continually for a given time above a predetermined engine temp ?

function 102 thermo fan might do what you want, except the lowest frequency appears to be 1 Hz. Then you can set up its table to 1 or 2 axis operation.
