newbie questions (injector flow) (ignition)

hi all ! i am newbie here. i have some experience tuning stock ecu-s and megasquirt. this is my first motec project. my car is based on evolution 3 4g63 engine. 2.2 strocker from cossworth and 272 hks cams. 3076 turbo. m400

my first question is where in motec software i can poin injector flow cc ? i have not found it.
second one is which parameters i must to enter in ignition setup ? on my engine is only one hall sensor on intake cam .it has 4 wires. thanks ! need your help. ;)

Use F1 a lot, help files pop up and explain most items.

Go to pulldown menu adjust/sensor setup/REF-SYNC sensor setup/setup submenu, select 'REF/SYNC mode' and hit F1, you will see the list of ref/sync setup modes, select 'OEM modes', Mitsubishi cam mounted and later model 2 tooth crank sensor setups all use mode 16.

There is no injector size that needs to be entered per se, except for fuel usage calcs, I think what you are asking is fuel table setup? The IJPU is in adjust/general setup/fuel/setup and select 'Injector Scaling' (IJPU) What the IJPU number is is what injector PW corresponds to a value of 100 in the main fuel table, also the main fuel table has a maximum value of 400. So you need to balance maximum capacity needed with resolution at the lower cruise and idle areas. Whether you are using a MAP comp or are N/A factors into the decision as well as it is a multiplier of the main table. Generally speaking the larger the injector relative to engine capacity the smaller the IJPU needs to be, but there are a myriad of ways the injector scaling and comps can be used, but to make a good decision on what IJPU needs to be you need to have a good idea what the max PW is going to be.

thank you for your answer ! i am planing to use 750 cc RC injectors 3 ohms.
please help me whitch parameter i need to enter to do initial start up.
injector scaling(ijpu) -?
injector current - ?
peak hold ratio -?

other setings must be set to 0 ?
also i am interesting for FUEL TIMING table. can someone send me sample of this table ?
and baterry compensations table. thanks !

Try injector scaling at 10. If this is not enough, you can re-scale without changing the tune.
Injector current 4A
Peak hold ratio 2.5

An educated guess.

Inj timing, is best determined on the dyno. As a rule of thumb, set EOI (end of injection), for somewhere just after peak inlet valve lift. Then, tune from there.

Tune for correct lambda value firstly. Then add/remove inj timing until you find the timing that gives you the lowest injection pulse width for the lambda value you want.

thanks for reply ! now my car is working great. but i am facing other problem i am getting diagnostics error inj 1,2,3,4 OPEN.some ideas ?

The ECU thinks that the injector wiring is open circuit. So, I would assume it is seeing more resistance (inpedance) that you have told it there will be on the injector circuits.

Can you measure the resistance of the injectors?

Take the measured impedance and devide it by your alternators regulated voltage. This is normally around 13.5-14.5v

This will give you current.

Example:

Voltage 14v
Resistance 3ohm

14/3= 4.66A

Measure all 4 injectors and do the math on the lowest resistance injector. Use the result to input in to the injector current parameter.
