Welding

Not knowing exactly which are to put this in but...
When welding on the chassis, what is the proper thing to do"
1) Take out the ECU and datalogging ACL?
2) Unplug the ECU/ACL connectors?
3) Put foil on the connector pins?
4) Take out battery and connect positive to ground?
5) Nothing?
6) Some combination of the above?

when doing any form of bodywork that includes welding i would mostly disconnect the battery,
and also disconnect the ecu from engine harness altough without any voltage it should be fine.
i have seen alot of welding performed without non of the above and nothing happaned but i think that
better safe then sorry.
if you weld nea and ecu or harness then yes,
aluminium foil anf mybe underneath the aluminium a saugey rug with water soaked into it.
