Software update

Postby Jayz-1 on Wed Jun 23, 2010 7:16 pm

As topic states. Will there ever be any new updates on the software to make it easier to use in vista etc. As well as having the options to use the motec knock and other modules?
I just thought I would ask as I have a M4 in my car and I can't replace it with a newer ECU as I have had it engineered and passed ADR37/01 so i can't really change to a hundred series ECU without having to spend money passing the emissions test again :(

thank you for your time
Jason

There are no plans to do an update at this stage. Have a read of this: http://www.motec.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1152

Thanks for the reply Ross.
I have been using dosbox for my work around to get full screen functionallity. The main thing I was after was new software so that the knock module etc can be connected.
I think you should upgrade the software. :). Just for people like me.
Sounds good. Thanks :)

There are no plans to upgrade the software in this product. If you want to have knock control this is available in M400/600/800 ECUs. The M4 is an old design (introduced in 1994) and the provision for knock control was not made then.

Return to M4 and M48 ECUs (including M2R and MLS variants)
