M48 ignition staying on

Postby forcefed1981 on Sun Jun 13, 2010 7:49 pm

My M48 seems to be keeping power to the ignition, fuel pump etc after i turn the ignition off. I'm wondering if it could be something to do with the aux output, ign barrel or relay. what do you think is most likely? any ideas appreciated.

Thanks.

i am gussing that something in your installation went wrong since if the fuel pump stayes on and doesn't
turned off when engine rpm is 0, it cant be the motec.

it might be a ground issue.

Hi
The pump turnes on and off when it feels, same as the fans, only when the ignition is off, sometimes not always. never use to do it been running car for a year or so. this problem just came up its definetly not the wiring on motec, im thinking signal from car ignition or something else. pulling out motec loom to check just incase.
Thanks
