E888 and SDL3

Hi All,
I am in the process of converting to motec M800
I want to use the E888 and SDL3. Can I use the inputs and outputs as well as the 8 temp inputs with the new SDL3.
I believe with the old SDL you could only use the 8 temps
Is there any way around this without using the ADL dash?

Hi John,

You can use the 8 EGTs into the SDL3 but not the rest of the AVs and outputs. It is the same as the SDL connected to the E888. You can receive the other E888 AVs and control the outputs with the M800. The AVs can then be sent to the SDL3 from the M800.

An ADL/2/3 can use all of the E888s inputs and outputs directly.

Thanks Darren for the quick response thats what I call customer service.
One more question I have a M&W pro 14 will this work properly with the M800, This is the reason I am changing to Motec it wont work with my current ecu.

Hi john,

Yes our ECUs are compatible with M&W, especially if you have the pro14d, this particular one only needs to be connected to ign1 output on the m800 to drive the 4 coils, so frees up 3 ignition outputs for other uses.
