Subaru M800 WRX9-10

Postby 07-EDM-STI on Sat May 01, 2010 4:42 pm

hi guys,

My M800 PnP's part number is 13012A, it has the 1MB datalogging and Lambda options.
My STI is 07 Euro LHD version, the ecu number is

22611AM500
112300-4900
made by Denso

Image

the start file that came with it is "Motec Subaru N14 Rally World base SDC3 ADV OFF". Does the Motec 13012A always come with that base of start up file? My tuner can't get the engine to start, the engine cranks but won't start and gives a lot of error codes with syn, ref, etc etc. My tuner told me that the base map could be for a different car with different engine sensors than mine and we need to get a base map for my car, if we get that base map, he will just set it up for the injectors and Motec MAP and IAT sensors I have and start tuning once the engine is running.

I think the base/start map that came with my M800 is for 08 Subaru since it says SDC3, my 07 STi can use SDC2 only.

Can anyone help me with the correct map I need? Thanks in advance

have you checked jumper setup? does your car have immobilser? I know with some of the Scooby M800OEM's that you need to chenge the jumper for ref/sync on the adapter board, as the immobolised & non-immobilsed cars have ref sync swapped over (Suby stopping you swapping STI modules into base cars?)...read the app note for this ECU...i have found the startup files very good for these products...

the fact that you are getting ref/sync errors points me even more to this point! If i get 5 min , i will check app note & check exact jumper numbers.

thanks for your advise :) , I'll double check my app notes for any jumpers. But as I remember there is no jumper on my M800, just a connector for CAN to USB and Lambda.

I tried the file that RossB emailed me (thanks a lot Ross :) ), but errors were present again. I also tried the file that's attached here

viewtopic.php?f=22&t=352

still the same but when I tried to lock the car with the key, it doesn't lock anymore. I had to lock the doors individually. When I tried the file Ross gave me, still with errors but the doors locks and opens with the key's wireless entry.

this is the list of errors we got

1. error ref runt error
2. error ref low level error
3. error sync noise Ar error
4. error sync runt error
5. error sync lo level error
6. Ref/sync syncronise NOTSYNED

I'm thinking that the immobiliser doesn't allow for the ref/sync to allow properly. I will ask my dealer if there is another circuit of the immobiliser outside the ecu and if they can disable it.

Does anyone here have any experience with Subaru with immobiliser and M800 and how to make it work? Thanks

hi mhd, thanks for the reply :)

sorry for my ignorance, what is AVEC and crip? I really don't know a lot about tuning and sensors but I want to learn :)

is the file you attached the one you are using now with your car?

thanks again :)

your car Sync Senso is the same as your cam sensor , the Crip (Crank Index Position) which is the engine degre when the first piston in the TDC.
