injection timing tuning tips

i want to start tuning injection timing.
i read about something like tuning engine to run ruf and then minus that number to 50 deg less, and then make this
value in a slope down to 40 deg when rpm at maximun.

mybe there is a better gude for it on the net? anyone could write better explanation for what comes out of
advancing and decrising injection timing value in varius states of load and rpm?
