Hi,
Yeah. I've used PDMs in several project now, once use seen the benefits for both control, adaptability and diagnostics you wont want to go back. If you've got a decent budget its well worth the investment.
Get a pinout for the PDM your looking at buying or do the spread sheet thing.
Workout the current consumption of each item.
Assign items to outputs. (I always seem to use every output I have!!) bear in mind that you have high current and low current outputs on the PDM's so loads must be connected to the right ones.
Wipers can be bit of an arse. If its old school type you should not have any problems, a lot of modern types with built in controllers need to be taken apart and electronic bits bypassed. Ther are several ways to drive them with the PDU.
Elec windows can be very simple or more complex, if switch is held and drives the window fully one way, relying on trip current to stop the motor or better is some form of micro switch to detect fully closed/fully open. Some systems have this built in, some dont. But lots of inputs can eat into your PDU spare pins....
as ever it can get a complex as you want....and it usually did for me..
