Should i use a resistor box? M4

Postby RACEPAK on Tue Apr 06, 2010 8:25 am

hello everyone.

i have a honda civic with a d16 engine, and precision 780 cc injectors 2Ω .

i used to tune the car with a chipped oem ecu, but with a resistor box,

my question is... will i have any benefit of controling the injectors if i will keep the resistor box? or should i remove it ? and set the m4 to work with 2Ω injectors ?

thanks

It's better to remove the resistor pack (before tuning) as the ECU has better control of the injectors connected directly and they will open faster. They will also work at a lower battery voltage and/or a higher fuel pressure with resistors removed.
