Driving a stock speedo from an M800 output?

Postby Chris Wilson on Fri Mar 19, 2010 8:58 am

I have a Swedish made Tractive sequential gearbox in my RWD R33 GTR. It has no speed sensor in it. I was wondering if I could use a redundant ABS wheel speed sensor on a front hub to feed the M800 with a wheel speed signal, and output a signal to the stock speedo that it understands and is numerically corrected, if you see what I mean? Thanks!

From memory to snag here is the 17Hz minimum that the m800 can output.
(I'm sure one of the MoTeC guys will correct me if I'm wrong)

1. The M800 does not have a variable freq output.....except for the RPM signal.
2. ABS Wheelspeed sensors are not really the easiest things to read, especially with an M800. Do you have a DMC? What type of sensor is it?
