Porsche 356 with an Audi V8

Postby crafty on Sun Mar 07, 2010 11:38 am

Hi guys,

I saw a post on the forum about MOTEC not being able to run FSI "yet".

I've just started building a project, putting a midmounted S5 engine into a Porsche 356. Its getting a full chassis, double A arm suspension all round etc etc there's see more pics etc on this link: http://www.kustomcoachwerks.com/forums/ ... sc&start=0

Ive bought and Audi factory test engine from an Audi dealer in Germany with 124km on it.

The current plan is to run the stock ECU, I have also bought new instrument cluster , ignition switch and keys. Ive been told that this will work, but that I may be in for some trouble with the stock ECU and immobilizer issues.

Is there a MOTEC system available yet that can run the Audi S5 FSI?

We do not have anything available at the moment but we have a new ECU under development wich includes a direct injection version. It is a little way off at the moment but we will have details of it on our web site when it is available for sale.
