M800 SPEED SENSOR

I have a M800 ECU fitted with a MDD in a 2000 wrx sti......I need a speed input for launch control and was told you can use the standard sensor for the speedo. I have wired this up and still have no speed disapling on the MDD but the gear position moves and is correct indicating that there is a speed signal of some discription........Is there anything I need to calibrate on the MDD?

You need to generate the ground speed channel which is in the "Traction control" setup menu.
