M800 Boost Control, same same, but different

Postby F6R on Mon Jan 04, 2010 11:22 pm

Hello all!

OK we have circuit car running M800 & all the options. We bought the car second hand so a few things need tidying up. The previous lot decided to install an aftermarket boost controller rather than rely on the ecu, as I think they couldnt wrap their heads around it.

We have always been successful with single stage boost control, but with this car I want to do something different.

I want switchable boost levels for the driver to select from, plus I need to make sure that the boost is consistent in every gear, as we have seen it spiking a little in the higher gears.

I'm all for letting the PID's do their thing, but would like some advice on the set-up & best way to go about it.

If you just wire in a solenoid you can do boost by gear. do you need something more advanced than that?
