Has anybody noticed the ADL2s backlight colour is different to the SDL? I wonder why this is

Hi Martin,

The difference is due to the circuitry driving the backlight. ADL2 has an external inverter, while the SDL has a builtin inverter.
You may also see a slight difference due to manufacturing tolerances, but they are all the same backlight and displays.

The ADL3 has a built in inverter like the SDL but i don't know if the circuitry is exacly the same, so couldn't say how it would compare without having sat them next to each other to see.

How is the ADL2 better? Brighter, cleaner, better shade??

The ADL2 is blue unlike the greenish blue of the SDL. Not that its bad, just a preference.

What I do think is better is that the ADL2 is brighter than the SDL and also it makes for better contrast
