DBW throttle response

The throttle is too aggressive, will changing the P,I,D parameters help here

What do you mean by aggressive?
If the DBW throttle was characterized by Motec, I do not suggest you change the PID.
Changing the translation table may be more appropriate.

Dont touch the PID

If the DBW unit matches the PID settings as characterized then you leave them alone.


THe position translation table is there for you to play around with to make the response more sluggish or whatever you would like to get out of the setup.

Thanks Guys,

Here are the original PID settings
P=100
I=50
D=140
Period =2
Deadband=0.3
Feed Forward=30


I will change the Position Translation as advised and see how it responds as the curve is quiet steep from around 42% TPD upto 90%
