Gauges display for M400 by Wolf_Tm

This is what I made on my car to remove all the gauges I had.

I bought 2din touchscreen monitor, all the parts to build a mini-itx based small computer to hide in the car, and a particular power supplier for mini-itx motherboard that's driven by ignition key.
Then I modified Windows XP to be the lightest possible, and now, any time I switch on the engine, this is what comes AUTOMATICALLY out in 24 seconds:

Very useful because I programmed warnings for all sensors' values, and even for "on run" mods to the map with the touchscreen feature...

No Mate, no hard disk in a car (unless an expensive military solid state hd...)!!!

Or an USB pen drive, or, what I did, an IDE to SD adapter and a 4GB SD card.

good project

the only thing that I would be concerned with, taking your eye off the road. You have to look down a ways to see those gauges.

None the less great project... now if you could do something like this ;)

http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/11/foru ... car-puter/

that would be a bit different and somewhat useful ;)
