ADL2 Speed measurement

Postby finitelement on Thu Jul 10, 2008 12:04 pm

Hi all, its a good news that MoTeC already have the official online forum!:D

anyway, the problem is the engine speed reading in my ADL2 shown 6000 rpm but actually engine wasn't running yet. In the ECU manager, it shown 0 rpm which is correct since engine not running.

then, when we start the engine, the engine speed also give a different value. Take for example,

In ECU manager 1200 rpm (which is correct)
In Dash manager 3800 rpm.

anyone of you experienced this before?
Is it something to do with CAN bus comms between ecu and adl2?

but FYI, the data reading for fuel APW, TPOS, air inlet temp and others are correct.

Cheers,
F.E

make sure you are using the matching data sets. (set 1 in the ECU and M800(V3.3+) set 1

RPM is normally the first channel, so should be

default 0
offset 0
multiplier 1
length 2
divisor 6
adder 0
bitmask ffff
