How to open a "Start Files"

Postby dzhingov on Tue Sep 29, 2009 7:47 am

Hi everybody,
I want to open a "Start Files" for Mitsubishi EVO to see the fuel and ignition maps. How this can be done without conect the ECU to the program. Or if anybody can open "Mitsubishi EVO4-6 M800 OEM Start-up (no immobiliser)", please send me a pic to fuel and ignition maps.
Thank you.

You can do this with the ECU Manager program which can be downloaded from the web site http://www.motec.com.au/software/latestreleases/. THe file you have probably has a file extention ot .e23, this means that you need to use M800 ECU Manager Version 2.3 to view it. A MoTeC start file is only intended to be used as a basic configuration to get the engine running and will not have fuel or timing maps that represent a properly tuned engine.

xpro, You can upgrade your 2.1 files to 2.3 or 3.5. If you are upgrading to 3.5 make sure you read the notes in the Read me file though.
