Bosch ABS Wheel Speeds

Postby EuroRace on Fri Aug 01, 2008 2:28 am

Does anyone have a wire diagram or know the wheel speed output pins on a Bosch ABS unit. # B265 153 259.
Posche # 993 618 125 70. This is a 993 Cup ABS unit. I have been looking & asking all over the globe, but no info available. Thanks.

Have you tried to contact Bosch directly?

They are usually pretty good at keeping technical specs on hand regardless if it is BMW, Porsche or Mercedez-Benz.

Geoffrey Ring on Rennlist would probably know, as I think he runs one on his 964 race car. Here is his website:

On some bosch pumps, even with different part Nrs these are the speed output pins. On some pumps the "wake-up" (Ign12v) wire is on a different pin. If you want further details on pinouts let me know. I think these might be applicable to your pump aswell, maybe post a picture of the pump and of the connector.

All the pins on the pump go to Power supply, Control unit, Relays. No wheel speed outputs on the pump. I am resonably sure the wheel speed outputs come from the small pins on the control unit.

The pinouts i gave are for Certain bosch ABS pumps. Like the ones found in BMW`s. (those pins are the actual output pins on the ABS pump.

On the bosch pump like the one found on the RX8 pin AA is the Vehicle speed output

I think I found the outputs, it seems like the in the center row of pins, # 40 & # 42 are the wheel speed outputs.
We will test it today & reply.

The wheels speed outputs are 40 & 42, works fine. You only get 1 front 1 rear signal.

The 996 Cup ABS system has several pins switched from the 996 GT3 street wiring diagram. Call me if you get stuck.
