M600 A/C Request

Postby joe90 on Tue Aug 25, 2009 3:02 am

Hi,
Please can anyone tell me how I would wire and setup an AT or Digital Input to the vehicle a/c so I can use the "Air Con Increase" function in 'Idle Control'?

Thanks.

You do not need to do this. If you have a digital input set up as AC Request and an output as AC Clutch the Idle Air Con Increase will be active when the status of the AC Clutch is on.

The A/C system is still controlled by the original vehicle electronics, I just need to know to wire and setup a Digital input to let the M600 know when the A/C is on, as the engine stalls quite often when the vehicle comes to a stop.

You could set up a digital input as Power Steering and use the Power Steering increase. You really want the input to be active only when the compressor is actually running rather than when the AC switch in the car is on.

Can I wire a Digital Input or AT directly to the A/C compressor's positive feed?
If yes, what parameters do enter in?
