REF/SYNC Mode 52

Postby myliberty on Fri Dec 19, 2008 10:29 am

Can I get some more info about Mode 52 (Subaru 3R 6 Cylinder)?

I'm currently running mode 39, with LH cam sensor to SYNC input on M600.
It's configured and engine runs fine. However, I believe this is incorrect for my engine, 2003 EZ30R.

If I advance the variable cams, it will through the SYNC out.
I believe I should use the Crank sensor for both REF and SYNC. Is this right? (similar to REF/SYNC mode 38)
The LH inlet cam sensor is on Dig1, the RH inlet cam is on Dig2.

Any help appreciated, I really want to get this variable inlet cam timing working.

Hello,
Not sure if you have been talking to me about this already. Mode 52 is for the variable cam engines. The ref sensor needs to be connected to both the ref and sync inputs on the ECU and all the details in the software need to be set exactly the same for both with the sync filter table being slightly higher by 4 or exactly equal.

The Cam sensor on the bank with number one cylinder should be connected to Digital input on and set up as cam control.

I have tried the setup change you advise above with no luck.
Do you have any additional setup info on this mode?

Any drawings for this?
CRIP?
left and right inlet cam position offsets?
