Licensing Error

Postby shantim on Fri Apr 04, 2025 10:21 pm

Hi,
I tried connecting M142 ECU (M142 #19459 Production) today to a diesel engine. The ECU gets connected however whenever I try to load a package and click on 'Send' it doesn't gets connected and shows an error : The current ECU Licence does not allow this Package to be sent. Please find the attached images.

Kindly guide me how to update the License.
Thankyou.

Your MoTeC Dealer needs to email you the license, you install that, and when you connect the ECU it will indicate a new license is available and install it.

So, contact your MoTeC dealer.

Currently this M1 is licenced for GPR-DI which is for gasoline direct injection engines.

If you want to use GPR Diesel you would need to purchase this licence from a MoTeC dealer.

You can either trade in your GPR-DI licence to reduce the cost of the new licence or keep GPR-DI and add GPR Diesel so you can use either firmware.
