Setting/Checking Eng Spd Reference Offset in Tune 1.5

Postby David Ferguson on Tue Jan 14, 2025 12:45 pm

I have found myself adding "Ign Test" and "Ign Test Timing" to the Engine Setup->Ref Sync Configuration worksheet. Is there a better way to do this?

I don't think it's included in any of the MoTeC Workspace templates -- when clicking on "Ignition Test" in one of the guides, it took me to the single value from my firmware tree -- this works much better when it's on the same Adjust Configuration list as the Engine Speed Reference Offset.

Hi David,

With the dynamic nature available with Tune 1.5, I decided not to try and assume where an output test would be required for certain tasks.

As such I implemented 2 test pages in the dashboard to cover most test use cases.

I think I understand. So with a MoTeC General based Workspace, select Adjust->Workspace->Engine Setup / Ref Sync, then select the "Output Tests" or "Output and Actuator Tests" tab in the monitor window (called Common Telemetry in the User Guide, and "Dashboard" in your description) at the bottom of the worksheet. Now I can see the Engine Speed Ref / Offset in the Adjust Items list and have control of the Ign Test and Ign Test Timing parameters.

I just need to start looking for those Telemetry/Dashboard/Monitor combinations. Thank you for the graphics indicating where to look.
