PDM 15 power up

Postby jealand on Mon Jan 13, 2025 4:23 pm

Rookie question I have a PDM 15 and keypad.

I have the harness built and am trying to power up/configure on the bench.

I have 12v Positive to the lug and 12v Negative to the battery negative pins in both connectors. Plus 12 v +/- to the key pad with the can bus connected.

UTC is connected to can hi and low plus battery negative for 0 volts.

Windows sees the UTC but the PDM manager does not seethe PDM.

Nothing out of the PDM or the keypad. No clicks no lights on the buttons nothing.

Is there something I’m missing? Thanks in advance.

Check to make sure CAN Hi and CAN Lo aren't swapped. Normally I would also ask about a terminating resistor, but the UTC has one internally, so that is seldom is issue.

If the CAN is the correct way around, try sending a Firmware update into the PDM.

Also a trap for new Players who have never had a Dash or PDM is
You need to download the File by clicking the Down arrow at the top of your screen
You then edit the file and resend it back to the PDM by clicking the upload Button
