GPRP Shifting Setup

Postby kseven on Tue Oct 29, 2024 1:49 pm

Hello, we are trying to setup shifting in our Motec M150 using the GPRP package.

We are using a relay to activate our electric actuator in order to change gear. In order to activate this relay: one of the two wires is connected to a 12v from battery and the other is connected to a low side ignition pin on Gear-> shift -> actuator -> down. When we turn on the test option, it does not activate the relay.

This setup is very similar to how we activate our coolant fan. In M1 tune, we set the shifting relay to the fan output and tried the test, and it immediately activated the relay. Yet it doesn't work when set up as a Gear Shift Actuator.

I was hoping if you could help us figure how to activate this relay for our actuator. Does the test feature not work as we are expecting?

You will need to post your package for use to help. It's likely a setting related to the low-side ignition output.

Actually, I managed to figure it out. Gear shift mode switch Override was set to disabled when it should've been manual. With this change, I was able to get it to shift using the paddles. The actuator test still doesn't work, but this is unnecessary if it works with the paddles.
