Venue File for COTA?

Is there an official Venue file for COTA? We are racing there next weekend and need to set the dash appropriately.

If there isn't an official one, how can I create one for it?

Hi,

I'm surprised that it isn't in there to be honest. The US Support (support @ motec.com) team is more likely to have a venue file for COTA than we are, but I'll see if there is one from when the V8 Supercars ran there. Some of the US based forum members may also have a file that can be shared.

I was able to create one by guessing coordinates via google maps, but until we are there there isn't a good way to check. Will the track map automatically get populated in i2? Or do I need to do something special there to get it to show up?

As long as you have the valid GPS Lat/Long data being recorded in the logging, i2 will attempt to draw the track map from this information.
