C125 Page Scroll

Postby cw200@live.com on Fri Jul 28, 2023 4:38 pm

I am trying to set up page scroll on a C125 Dash without much success at this stage there doesn't appear to be any suggested wiring or configuration for this feature? Any input appreciated

I suggest you create a new configuration (try the M1) and look at that. It has Next and Reset buttons configured, as well as user conditions to turn those button presses into the normal page control functions (Display Mode Change and Display Next Line).

Look at Functions->Display...->Channels tab to see how these are selected.

The Help for the Display Setup window describes how these channels are normally used to control the display.

Now, if you are using Display Creator, that is completely different. I'm sure we've covered that here in the Display Creator section, look through some old posts.

I would do that however the dash has a special configuration due to the Firmware in the ECU, I did receive an email from Motec UK advising that the page scroll was set up on Dig 2 however with this wired it still doesn't work so I am not sure what is going on.

You missed my point. Create a configuration and STUDY how it does the page scroll. Duplicate that in your own dash configuration.

Or post your configuration so someone can do it for you.

Regarding your wiring. Do you have a momentary switch wired between Dig2 and 0V? Did you try press it to see the bottom line scroll, and holding id down for 1 second to see the page change? Many times a single scroll button is setup this way.

The input characteristics in the help found in C125 define the requirements for the dig input:

It doesn't do voltage detection, its a logic level switch.

The thresholds are outlined, and the switch needs to be wired to suit this. If the switch is set to active low the button should be wired between Dig and 0V and be of normally open operation. Then when the button is pressed, it will pull below the threshold and trigger.

You can also go to online > monitor channels and check if the button state is changing between 0 and 1 when you press it.
