15 Button Keypad wake up on M141

Postby Tasboost on Mon May 15, 2023 10:25 pm

Hoping someone might be able to assist me with getting a Motec 15 button keypad to wake up on my M141.
I have Driver keypad enabled and set to CAN bus 1, CAN ID base set to 0x0506 and Node ID set to 0x0a.
I have setup some toggle switches as a test but I get a communications error…

Could it be that the Motec switch panel is operating at a rate of 1000 and CANBus 1-3 are all set to 500 in my ECU (Motec m141 for Toyota GR Yaris) or do I also need to tell the keypad to wake up?

I also have a C125 dash but would prefer to configure the keypad using the m141 as the gateway.

Appreciate any advice you may have.

Many thanks,
Nick

Hi Nick,

As supplied the keypads are configured for 1Mbps bitrate.

PDM Manager includes a keypad configuration tool which you can use to change the bitrate and IDs of keypads.

To use the configuration tool you will need a MoTeC UTC to communicate with the keypad.

If you require assistance changing the bitrate of your keypad you should contact the MoTeC dealer that supplied your hardware.
