How do I setup a spec function in M150 (GPR)

Postby LOLA-Christian on Fri Aug 26, 2022 1:36 am

Hi,
I would like to set a specific function for a HBx output,
similar to what could be done in Aux Output Function in M84
(for instance "4 - Tacho signal or 107 - Gear Change Light" or whatever.....)

How do I do that in M150?

In the M1, you find the feature and assign the resource. So for the GP packages, you simply set Tachometer Output Resource to your desired Halft Bridge Output.

If you need more help. Open an "All Calibrate" tab, type 'tach" into the search box, and tick the "normal" and "setup" tags above the search box. You should now see the Tachometer settings, and can select an Output Resource, set the scale, and even Test it.

Thanks,
but the problem is that the customer wants one output for the "normal" tachometer/rev counter and
another ("tacho") output for additional equipment that use a tacho signal (gear shift cut system e.g.)

That will be a simple change if you create a custom firmware package for the customer. Or perhaps there is already a partner package with this feature.

Is there a reason the same Tachometer output signal can't be used for both purposes?

If you have GPR, why would you use an external gear cut system?

Not really, just for ease of installation (later on), if the end customer needs a tacho signal-

Correct, I will discuss this with the customer.
(I am a newbie to the M1 system, and has just recently start investigation of the environment,
- It is very different to the Gold Systems....)
