Hi Jason,
Go into "Adjust"-"Misc Functions" and "Warning Alarms" and check what you have set up for the Aux Temp.

P.S. Can you copy and paste the question from the other forum in future so there is no back and forth for everyone? :D

"Hey guys,
I have a Motec M4 ECU on my Lancer.
I have 2 AC Delco Air temp sensors, The one before the Throttle, is set as AIR TEMP, The other one at the compressor output is set as AUX TEMP.

I also have AUX OUTPUT 3 as the DRIVER WARNING OUTPUT wired up to the stock check engine light, Now whenever i set the AUX TEMP to the Delco temp sensor, i get a check engine light.
I have connected the laptop and there is no errors, and I cant seem to see any issues anywhere, and the sensor actually reads an accurate temprature...

I have checked all the wiring, and my next test is to swap the temp sensors over and see if some how i have a dud sensor (Even though it reads temp) But I thought i would see if anyone has had this sort of issue before?

Thank you in advance for your time "

Thank you for the reply.
I have had a look at the warning alarm, and they are on "0" (Disabled), but i also changed them to a lot higher temps just to see if that fixed the problem, but unfortunatly not. :(

Yeah sorry about just posting the link, there was some good logical posts, so i wanted people to have a squiz at the suggestions other people had already come up with.

I have had this issue for about 2 years now and i pretty much just have the sensor turned off unless i am on the dyno or playing with the tune on the street, where the CEL isnt that important as i can look at the laptop screen, and i dont think i will ever find the problem, but just thought i would ask anyway, just incase.

Thanks guys
Jason

You sent me your file once before and i had a look at it and looked fine. Are you sure you have it wired correctly? Also why is it a Mls engine config as i thought it was on a different engine. Also send the ecu file again as when the problem is happining.

Have you set a high and low warning value above and below the current value you see for a test. Remember you should always do a reset on the ECU when you change some of these main parameter values, most sure way is to repower the ECU. Is this what you did?
