GPS L5 and backlight

I connected an L5 GPS to my SDL which was already configured to receive it.
I bought the car and it was missing on it.
The problem is that when the GPS is plugged in, the dashboard backlight turns off.
If I unplug it, it turns back on
I specify again that a GPS was originally connected to the car but the previous owner removed it
For the moment the test has only been done in the garage
Does anyone have an explanation ?

We'll it's either wiring, or dash configuration. Since you can't upload your wiring, how about you upload your dash configuration so we can see if anything is configured incorrectly.

I don't see anything odd with the config (I was thinking perhaps the backlight was configured to have brightness set by some channel that was affected by the GPS connection).

So that leaves wiring. Can you confirm that the GPS connector has 5V on Pin 4, and 0V on Pin 1, Pin 2 should be connected to Pin 34 on your SDL 37-pin connector, and Pin 3 should not be connected at all.
