Another DBW Question

Postby killerbee on Mon Mar 30, 2009 2:17 am

I have an LS2 throttle assembly and pedal from an 2002 corvette that operates via the M800 using the settings provided on the GM DBW drawing. However, there are some interference issues with regard to the throttle body that I may not be able to resolve that will force me to get a different throttle assembly.

If change throttle bodies do I have to get a pedal assembly matched to the new throttle body or can I use the pedal assembly I have at the moment ?

I used a Toyota Corolla Pedal with a Bosch TB after the MoTeC guys mapped the pedal so as long as the TB you choose has been characterised it should be fine.

The pedal does not interact the they throttle body, the ECU only read the Pedal to work out the TPRequested, so you can have a Bosch Pedal operating a GM throttle.

What interferance issues do you have?

Martin is correct, you can use any combination of pedal and DBW throttle assemblies provided the setup for each one is correct it will work fine.
