Fuel Tuning

Hello
I have a package for a Ducati Panigale 1199.
But my Panigale has a small 959cc engine.
The engine doesn't start because I think my tuning is too rich.
First I would have to adjust Crank and Post Start Fueling.
The values ​​in my package are around 250%. Hence my question, how do I proceed now?
or with what values I now start to adjust the fulling.
Unfortunately I don't have a precise plan.

Hi Ralf,

Have you changed the engine capacity to suit, or is this a locked parameter in your Package?

Hello Steven,
The package is powered by a 1199cc engine
from the British Superbike Championship, and i think the AFR ratio or the setting is to rich for my engine.
And I got this from the German importer along with an M170 Receive.

My engine has less displacement, I want to adjust the parameters.
But since the engine doesn't even start, I'd like to know where to start with the settings. The parameters are not locked, but unfortunately I have no idea which values ​​to start with for fine tuning.

Should I set all values ​​in the chrank and post start fueling erts to zero and then try to start the engine. or how would you go about it?

I found cylinder 1 not firing. I exchanged the spark plug and ignition coil to rule out these sources of error.
I check the ignition with a timing light. Maybe it's because of a setting in my package,
or my offset is totally wrong.

For that Package you will need to work directly with MoTeC Europe as they are the developers of the Package. Your dealer should also be assisting you with the issues that you are having.

Hi Stephen,
of course I contacted Motec Europe. Mr Alan Bell was also very helpful in many ways. Some things were probably also misunderstood because I don't speak the English language perfectly.
But in 18 years of experience with the M800 I've gotten every engine to run and then fine-tuned it.
If an engine does not start and ignite at all, something is fundamentally wrong.
And if I can now set the offset of the synchronization only 10° up or down through my package "in your example file I can adjust 720° and -720°". And Motec UK says it's not possible to change the package, so I don't understand it.
They also sell me an M170 for Ducati Panigale 899, 959, 1199, and 1299, and if there are problems then they say the package is for a 1199R Superbike engine.
Other questions such as after the Can Bus error were not answered at all.
What am I supposed to do there?

If you are not running the exact engine a package designed for a single engine is designed for, you may need to purchase a different firmware license (such as GPR - which offers all the crank patterns and full range of offsets). Or work with a developer such as MoTeC UK to produce a new package for the Panigale 959 (needed if the crank pattern / offset is not exactly the same since this can't be changed in the current package). If they do produce that, then you will need a license for that firmware package added to your ECU.

Hello David,
thanks for the explanation.
I could have imagined that my package would simply be changed.
So what; In the engine main grop of my package is the 959 engine
listed with.

While troubleshooting I noticed that the spark is getting weaker and now I have no spark at all.
Maybe my IGN4 yes defective.

On the M800, if I turn the throttle beyond 90% with the engine not running,
fuel is injected and I can see if the nozzles are working.
Is there the same function on the M1?
