Hi and Lo impedence injectors

Postby C4a0s on Wed Mar 25, 2009 8:47 pm

Hi all,

on stock fuel rails... my SR20DET is using Sard low impedence side feed injectors..but if i'm changing to an aftermarket rail... i would have to get high impedence top feed injectors. as such,... where/how can i change the injector settings in the M800? (I'm thinking of 1000CC/min top feed injectors  )

thanks

You don't have to change your setup because your setup is already set as high impedance. I think that you will have to remove resistors pack.

i dont follow u mazi

i'm using low impedence injectors..and in the software settings.. General -> Fuel -> setup -> injector current is set to 0.

does that mean that there is a resistor pack somewhere? since injector current 0 is, under F1, meant for 12-16ohm injectors?

I think you have something like this on firewall.

mazi,

checked with my mech..was asking him how come my ignition and injector output functions 1-4 are all set to off. he said thats so that output is used solely for ignition/injector and nothing else.

so based on what i know is that...my m800 has 4 wires coming out for ignition and 4 wires for injectors rite? if so..how come in your pic..there is just 1 12V to the resistor? which means..i probably have 4 separate resistors for each ecu injector output? *puzzled*

Each ECU injector output is connected to one side of injector coil. Other side of injector coil is connected to resistor. Other side of resistor is connected to +12Volt. As you can see on the picture four resistors in pack have common +12volt.

Dear Mazi, since when SR 20's have resistor pack?? I have one S13 and one S 15 and neither of two have pack. Have also client with SX 200 and he dont have neither! Please iluminate me! Would like to learn more since i have buncha of SR 20 DET's in my garage. Maybe they was been already modified before to come into my hands?? ( I dont think so.)

Cheers

Pascal

As far as I know it is common that resistor pack is added if low impedance injector are used and ECU is set up as for high impedance injectors. Car is not stock car.
