M1 Traction Control adjustment

Postby Aquila on Sat Jan 29, 2022 9:00 pm

HI, how would I go making a simple adjustment to Traction control?
My tuner has got it pretty close referring back to data, but since then I have changed the diff ratio from 3.92 to 3.07, and I feel It needs less Traction intervention when dry.
I thought to adjust the traction Aim Compensation Gear Trim as a simple adjustment to start with, it has small negative Trim numbers in the first three gears,-20 -10 -5 would that be beneficial? any suggestions would help.

Hi,

I would start with reducing the Traction Aim Main values by a small amount and leave the compensations as is. This is because all of the compensations act through this table, so a change here will affect all of the compensations in the same way, whereas changing a compensation may cause a variability to be introduced. I would only change a compensation if there was a specific reason for that compensation to be changed.
